Why This Class
When it comes to decisions made after high school, you want your student to hit a home run: to choose the schools that meet their needs and career goals, to craft a competitive application for each school or program, and to gain admission to one or more of those options.
Mentors in this course help students examine their professional and adult career options by asking thoughtful questions to ensure their choices are the right ones for them.
Students study the decisions that they will make as they enter the adult realm. They discuss how to set goals and keep commitments, how to deal with setbacks and failures, and how to develop grit. Mentors will guide students through a realistic exploration of talents, interests, job options, and career paths.
Each student will then research a specific college or alternative career option
By the end of this course, students are ready to start the next chapter of their lives with confidence. They have the knowledge and skills to create their post-secondary experience on their terms.
